Removed RB disc version, installed the digital version, and am now redownloading all of the DLC. I’ve resolved myself to the fact that I can’t get my save data to work on PS5. (As a note, RB4 installed from disc still required the disc even after all of the updates, so it definitely wasn’t the digital version installed.) I don’t know if somehow the PS5 is getting the versions mixed up or what. Oddly enough, I apparently (maybe through buying rivals?) also own RB4 digitally. Open PS4, transfer to cloud, download again on PS5. Well maybe the PS5 auto upload overwrote that too.

So I thought, well maybe somehow it overwrote my save data. Nope! After I installed, upgraded to Rivals (same path as PS4), downloaded all DLC and fired it up. So I thought, well, I can install from disc on PS5 and at least I’ll have all of my save data (bands/scores/etc). I was able to transfer some smaller 1 GB VR apps over, and didn’t have a transfer issue on around 3 GB when I did those. I originally installed the disc edition on PS4.īut it appears when you reach a certain size (my install with DLC is about 40 GB), the transfer dies. So I’ve tried multiple times multiple ways to transfer rock band and the dlc over.
